A typical day for me involves writing lots of emails, attending meetings with various stakeholders, preparing meetings for the week and ensuring project plans are up to date. I think my day-to-day work contributes to Oxehealth’s mission by ensuring I am efficiently planning and communicating with our customers which in turn helps to support Oxehealth’s bigger goals.
Prior to working at Oxehealth, I was a Housing Officer for a homeless shelter. During my time there, my understanding of mental health widened as I learnt how much homelessness can impact your mental wellbeing. Taking my learnings from that role, I stumbled across Oxehealth. What lured me into working here was the culture and the mission. Everyone at Oxehealth is here because they are passionate and driven. The idea of improving patient lives through innovative technology and enhancing patient care was something I wanted to be a part of.
My favourite part of my job is meeting new people and building relationships. I get to work one on one with other project managers which allows me to learn and understand different perspectives. These are skills which I can use both in my personal and professional life. I am also very fortunate to be part of a very talented and hard working team at Oxehealth. This is one of the main reasons why I look forward to work everyday. Our meetings are always enjoyable and fun!
I’ve now been at Oxehealth for nearly 4 years. Within these 4 years, I started off as a Junior Operations Coordinator. Last year, I was promoted to Implementation Project Manager. This is what I would consider as my proudest achievement at Oxehealth so far. I have built on my confidence, knowledge and experiences throughout the years, which assisted me in my progression. A smaller and more personal achievement was when I presented part of the year-end roundup at the company Christmas party. This was something quite different for me as it was out of my comfort zone.
Something my colleagues may not know about me is that I have a twin sister. We are not identical and are completely opposite!
